The film which has Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in lead roles will see Maniesh essay an important character. Maniesh, who has been a part of the industry for a long time now and is often credited with hosting some of the best shows opened up about his struggles and what was one of the weirdest things he had heard during his days as a struggler.

Popular anchor Maniesh Paul is gearing up for the release of Jugjugg Jeeyo on June 24. The film which has Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in lead roles will see Maniesh essay an important character. Maniesh will be essaying the role of Gurmeet, Varun's best friend and Kiara's brother.
According to Maniesh the role he is essaying is one of the "most chilled out characters in the film" and was directly offered to him by none-other-than Karan Johar. In an exclusive interaction with Zoom digital, Maniesh revealed that Karan had called him and told him that he had asked the team to get in touch with Maniesh and that the popular anchor must take up the role.
Maniesh, who has been a part of the industry for a long time now and is often credited with hosting some of the best shows opened up about his struggles and what was one of the weirdest things he had heard during his days as a struggler.

The actor who believes that even somebody who has criticised him has contributed to his career, stated, "I have faced a lot of criticisms at times. I remember one funny such incident, I do not ever take anything to heart. The funniest, was when during an audition the person told me, sir, aapka chehra khandaani nahin lagta. And I am thinking, What the f*** was that? I came out of the audition and I called my dad and told him papa aaj kisine mujhe bola mera chehra khandani nahin lagta. He started laughing as well. We had a good laughter over it."
But, now, does he feel he has made it? Maniesh said, "I never feel like I have made it. People call me sultan of stage, the number one host of the country, but I never let it to my head. I do not feel like that Every morning when I get up I just want to work hard . I still don’t think that one particular morning has come when I will wake up and say, ‘Wow man I have bloody arrived.’ I dont think like that. "
Jugjugg Jeeyo releases in theatres on June 24.
