Iconic singer-composer Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on Tuesday night at a Mumbai hospital. He was suffering from a sleep-related breathing disorder, OSA. Bappi Lahiri was 69 at the time of his death.
The family had issued a statement following his demise, stating, It’s a deeply sad moment for us. The cremation will take place on arrival of Bappa From LA tomorrow mid morning, We are seeking love and blessings for his soul." In the wee hours of Thursday morning, Bappa was seen with his wife and child exiting Mumbai airport. Bappa greeted those present with folded hands before proceeding towards the car.
News agency ANI took to Twitter to share visuals of the mortal remains of the veteran singer-songwriter being carried to Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai.

Visuals have been shared from the legend's house where his son Bappa and others can be seen carrying the mortal remains of the singer-composer for the last rites.

The last rites of Bappi Lahiri are slated to take place at 10 am and earlier in the day, preparations were seen being undertaken at Pawan Hans crematorium in Santacruz. A truck decorated with flowers too arrived to carry Bappi Lahiri’s mortal remains to Pawan Hans crematorium for last rites.
Several celebrities including Kajol, Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Rakesh Roshan, and Poonam Dhillon had earlier on Wednesday, arrived at the late composer’s residence to pay their last respects.
