As per the latest news on Times Now, SC extends Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair's interim bail till further orders. Interim bail has been granted to Zubair by the Supreme Court vacation bench till the matter is heard by a regular bench that ends today, and Zubair will remain in judicial custody till the 16th of July. The Supreme Court extended Zubair's interim bail till further orders in a case filed by UP police in Sitapur for harming religious sentiments through a Tweet, in which he referred to a few Hindu seers as "hatemongers". It additionally gave time to the state to record its reaction in four weeks or less. The request was passed by a division bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna while adjourning the plea recorded by Zubair challenging the Allahabad High Court's refusal to quash the said FIR.
