Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield has landed his second Oscar nomination for his performance as playwright Jonathan Larson in Tick, Tick ... Boom! The actor was earlier nominated for the 2017 film Hacksaw Ridge. Garfield has earned himself a nomination alongside stellar actors Javier Bardem (Being the Ricardos), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Power of the Dog), Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth) and Will Smith (King Richard).
The actor who shared his reaction on receiving the Oscar nomination, also spoke about the Academy snubbing one of the biggest films of the year, Spider-Man: No Way Home in the best picture category. For the unversed, the Tom Holland starrer which dealt with the metaverse within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, had Tobey Maquire and Andrew Garfield reprise their roles as Spider-Man in special appearances.
In an interaction with The Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Garfield opened up on No Way Home not getting nominated for best picture, stating, "I'm not able to comment on that, particularly. I really love that movie and I really love Amy [Pascal] and Jon Watts and Kevin [Feige] and, obviously Tom [Holland], and Zendaya and Jacob [Batalon] and Tobey [Maguire] and all the cast."

The actor further added that the film has been "kind of juggernaut of proportions" that none of them expected, adding, "I can only speak for myself and I just feel grateful to be a part of something that is keeping cinemas alive right now, keeping cinemas full, and helping in that regard and making sure that the live experience or the communal experience of going to the movies remains intact."
The actor also added that it is cool to see the audience still deeply longing for and stated that No Way Home is one of those movies and he is "grateful to be a part of that".
