Popular actor, R Madhavan is currently enjoying the massive success of his first directorial debut film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The 51-year-old actor not only directed the movie but also acted, wrote and produced the biography, which is about Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer with ISRO.

Apart from this, the Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein actor is also savouring the impeccable success and is a proud dad after his son Vedaant, who is an ace swimmer broke the national record of 1500m freestyle at the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships in Odisha.

Beaming with joy, on July 18, R. Madhavan took to Twitter and shared the news along with a video, “Never say never. National Junior Record for 1500m freestyle broken. @VedaantMadhavan.”

Earlier today (July 21), the actor took to Instagram and shared a slew of pictures as he and his family met the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, and wrote, “Such a pleasure to meet with honourable CM & very dynamic Shri @Naveen_Odisha Ji. Thank you so much for the kind hospitality & the most fantastic endeavour of putting Odisha firmly on one of the Best Sports Venue maps of India-Your commitment for the future of sports is invigorating.”

Congratulating the kid, in one of the images, we can see Vedaant getting an Odisha swim t-shirt as a memento presented by the Odisha CM, while in the other CM Naveen and Madhavan’s family can be seen having some heart-to-heart talk. In the end, we saw a heartwarming picture of all posing for the camera together.

Soon after he posted the pictures, fans couldn’t stop themselves from bursting out in happiness and wrote, “A proud father-son moment!! Wishing Vedaant all the love & luck,” while many others congratulated the family wholeheartedly.
