It took everyone by shock when Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn and popular South star Kiccha Sudeep engaged in a war of words on Twitter. The verbal spat soon simmered down after a clarification was released by Sudeep, which cleared the misunderstanding.
However, soon after that, several celebrities were asked to react to the Hindi language row that happened between Ajay and Sudeep on Twitter. Now, actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the same.
Yes, you read that right. At the trailer launch of her upcoming film Dhaakad, the actress took the opportunity to speak her mind about the ongoing row.
The actress said that we are a country with a lot of diversity, languages, and culture. She further said that if someone is saying that they do not believe Hindi to be a national language, they are denying the constitution.
Talking more about the same she added, "Jab in logo ne constitution banaya toh Hindi ko rashtrabhasha banaya. Tamil is actually older than Hindi, usse bhi old hain Sanskrit. "
"Agar aap mujhse mera bayaan puchna chahte hai, toh I think the national language should be Sanskrit. Kyuki Kannada se Tamil se leke Gujarat se leke Hindi sab ussi se aayi hain," she further added. (When these people made the constitution, they made Hindi the national language. Tamil is actually older than Hindi, and Sanskriti is the oldest. If you ask me then Sanskrit should be made as the national language of the country. India's all the languages- Kannada, Gujrati, Tamil and even Hindi has come from Sanskrit)

What was the row about

Kiccha Sudeep’s statement that “Hindi is no more a national language” received a loud response from Ajay, who tweeted, “@KicchaSudeep my brother, According to you if Hindi is not our national language then why do you release your mother tongue movies by dubbing them in Hindi? Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man.”
Clarifying the controversy, Kichaa Sudeep replied to Ajay, “Hello @ajaydevgn sir.. the context to why i said tat line is entirely different to the way I guess it has reached you. Probably will emphasis on why the statement was made when I see you in person. It wasn't to hurt,Provoke, or to start any debate. Why would I sir? I love and respect every language of our country sir. I would want this topic to rest,,, as I said the line in a totally different context.”
Responding to the same, Ajay had tweeted, “Hi @KicchaSudeep, You are a friend. thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding. I’ve always thought of the film industry as one. We respect all languages and we expect everyone to respect our language as well. Perhaps, something was lost in translation.”
