Chandigarh: Every day, 1000 cybercrime cases are being registered in Haryana. This has been revealed from the calls coming on the police helpline number 1930, local media reported.
At the same time, Haryana Police has made a project based on the theme "See Your Self in Cyber" to deal with cyber criminals. To make the people of the state aware, a 30-day activity calendar for the month of October has also been prepared.
Instructions have been issued to the Haryana Police on behalf of the Union Home Ministry regarding the increasing cases of cybercrime in the state.
According to the same instructions, the police will now spread awareness among people by focusing on multi-factor authentication, strong passwords, software updates, identification of cyber fraudsters, prevention of financial fraud and safe use of social media.

Haryana Police have so far saved Rs 15 crore from cyber fraud. People are calling 1930 to avoid increasing cybercrimes. Due to this, people register complaints of being victims of fraud, taking action on which Haryana Police got success in taking records.
So far, the awareness program has been explained in a special meeting for the cyber nodal officers of all the districts of Haryana Police. Along with this, instructions have been given that there should be no shortage at any level in effectively spreading cyber awareness to every section.
