Hasan Ali came out in support of Shadab Khan and shared a video which had a compilation of some of the best fielding efforts of the leg-spinner.

In the Asia Cup 2022 final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan received plenty of criticism as his poor fielding effort cost the Men in Green some crucial runs in the summit clash. In a video which went viral on social media, Khan was seen putting a full stretch dive to his right to attempt a catch, which would have been taken by the other fielder Asif Ali, had there been no collision. As a result of the collision, the ball also went past the boundary, giving Sri Lanka six runs.
As fans slammed Khan left right and center, he took to social media to apologise to his fans for letting his country down in a crucial match.
"Catches win matches. Sorry, I take responsibility for this loss. I let my team down. Positives for team, @iNaseemShah, @HarisRauf14, @mnawaz94 and the entire bowling attack was great. @iMRizwanPak fought hard. The entire team tried their best. Congratulations to Sri Lanka," Khan tweeted.
At a time when Khan continues to be criticised for his fielding efforts in the Asia Cup 2022 final, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali came out in support of the leg-spinner as he shared a video on social media which had the compilation of some of the best catches taken by Khan.
Khan also dropped Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa off Haris Rauf's bowling in the 17th over when the left-hander was on 46. Rajapaksa went on to play a match-winning knock of 71* off 45.
Earlier in Sri Lanka's innings, he also slipped while trying to save an overthrow and was hit on the head. Overall, it was a forgettable day on the field for Khan - who is one of the better fielders in the Pakistan camp.
Pakistan lost the contest by 23 runs and the poor fielding by Pakistani cricketers was said to be one of the reasons behind the defeat.
Batting first, Sri Lanka put a total of 170 runs on board. In reply, Pakistan managed just 147 runs in 20 overs.
