Home Minister Amit Shah Offers Prayers At Mata Vaishno Devi, To Meet Several Delegations Today | English News

On a three-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah landed in Jammu on Monday. Amit Shah offered his prayers at the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple today morning. During his visit, the home minister is expected to meet with a number of delegations, including those from the Gujjar, Bakerwal, and Pahari communities. The Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for Paharis has been guaranteed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), satisfying a long-standing demand of the community, which is primarily found in Rajouri and Poonch. Gujjars and Bakerwals have complained that Paharis should not be included in the ST category. In Rajouri town on Tuesday, Shah is scheduled to deliver a speech to the general public.#amitshah #homeminister #timesnow
