Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Kannada star Kiccha Sudeepa share a great bond with each other and that is a well-known fact. While they were pitted against each other in Dabangg 3, their off-screen friendship had won hearts.
Recently, the Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai actor came on board to present the Hindi version of Sudeepa's upcoming mystery thriller Vikrant Rona. The makers of the film, also starring Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, finally unveiled the trailer on Thursday (June 23). While Salman did share the same on his social media, he gave the launch event a miss.
In an interaction with a portal, Kiccha Sudeepa revealed why Salman wasn't present at the promotional event of Vikrant Rona. Salman "wanted to be in Bangalore and even in Mumbai (during the promotions), but because of his protocol issues, he is not here," he told ETimes.
The report confirmed that the decision was taken due to the recent death threat case as he has been advised by cops to restrict public appearances.
For those unversed, Salman recently received a threat letter from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. The note, which was reportedly an attempt to extort money from the superstar, said that Salman and his father, veteran writer Saleem Khan would meet the same fate as Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala.
Currently, Salman is in Hyderabad. The actor is shooting for his upcoming film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali there.
He has also been meeting several South superstars amid the shoot. His pictures with Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Ventakesh and others had recently surfaced online.
