Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth has made a career playing Thor in the MCU over the last 10 years. In fact, Chris Hemsworth's Thor is the only Marvel hero, so far, to receive a fourth solo movie set in the MCU.
While initially the actor's reception as the God of Thunder was at best, a bit shaky, Taika Waititi, when he helmed Thor: Ragnarok, brought renewed vigour to the role and navigated the actor to greater heights of success. However, as with all great things, even the future of Thor is not set in stone and it remains to be seen whether the character will make an appearance again or if a Thor 5 will be set in motion anytime soon.
For the unversed, as per an article in The Direct, in the recently released Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder, Chris Hemsworth revealed how he approached the film as if it was the "last time" he would play the character. The actor was quoted as saying, "I have loved every single time I’ve played the character. This is ten years for most of us now, and maybe the last time I play the character. I certainly was aware of that while shooting.”

However, if reports are to be believed, Marvel has other ideas fr Thor. A teaser at the end of Thor: Love and Thunder's credits reveal 'Thor will return'. However, Waititi has revealed it was acually a surprise for both him and Hemsworth.
