Lamborghini introduces new Urus S: Check out the price, features, power and more

Lamborghini today introduced the new Urus S. With this new introduction the Urus line-up now has two models - the Urus Performante and the Urus S. The Urus S is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0 L V8 petrol engine that produces 656.6 bhp and 850 nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Lamborghini has introduced the new Urus S. The big beefy Urus S is sportier and has a similar power output as the Urus Performante. Lamborghini is calling it the super SUV which has the power output of the performance oriented Urus Performante but with more comfort and subtlety. The Urus S is the successor to the original Urus introduced by Lamborghini. The company says it is the most successful Lamborghini model ever.

Commenting on the success of the Urus, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann said, “The Urus’ commercial success, with more than 20,000 vehicles produced, is testament to its credentials as the first and enduring Super SUV: the Urus S elevates that reputation”.

The Lamborghini Urus S can go from 0-100 kmph in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 305 kmph. It can brake from 100-0 kmph in 33.7 meters. It can accelerate from 0-200 kmph in 12.5 seconds. This improvement in the performance can be attributed to the engine delivering its peak 850 nm of torque from 2,300 rpm till 6,000 rpm. This range of delivery of the torque ensures that the car accelerates this quickly.

Lamborghini Urus S comes equipped with 4 driving modes - STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO along with terrain selector for off-roading which includes - TERRA (Terrain), NEVE (Snow) and SABBIA (Sand).

The new Urus S has notable design changes as well. On the outside it gets a new front and rear bumper, a new matt black-painted stainless steel skidplate as standard, a new lightweight carbon fiber painted bonnet, a new twin-pipe exhaust design, new rim options are offered alongside the standard 21” wheel, including 22” Nath rims with titanium matt and diamond polish finish, while 23” Taigete wheels can be selected in bronze and diamond polish alternatives.

On the inside the Urus S gets a fully-revised color and trim treatment. Both the new Bi-color Sportivo and a new Bi-color Sophisticated option feature the new Urus Performante stitching pattern.

The Urus S also features connected navigation, security features and several in-car control services like the remote park via the Lamborghini Unica App and it now supports smartwatch controls including the virtual car key function.

The Lamborghini Urus S has been introduced for 195.538 Euros without tax, which roughly translates to Rs 1.56 Crore.
