After the success of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri was invited to various global institutes and forums to speak on the subject. Shortly after, Agnihotri took off to Europe for the same. The filmmaker has now shared a video on Twitter to share his shocking experience with some of the biggest universities in the world.
Stating that he is on a humanitarian tour in Europe, Agnihotri states that universities like Cambridge and Oxford have canceled his gathering at the very last minute on the basis that some of the students have protested against him for 'supporting a democratically elected leader, PM Modi'
He began by saying, "Hello friends, As you are aware I am here in Europe on a humanity tour. This tour was decided after a lot of prestigious places invited me like Cambridge University, Oxford University, British Parliament and a lot of places and Germany and Netherlands. But yesterday, a very strange thing happened. When I reached Cambridge University and at the last minute I was told that you can't video record the event. This is 100% curbing of freedom of expression. Now this is happening because a few Pakistanis and Kashmiri Muslim students protested against it. They are genocide deniers and fascists. "
He further went on to say that this happened because he supports a democratically elected leader PM Narendra Modi.
After speaking about what happened at Cambridge University, Agnihotri went on to elaborate that something similar happened at Oxford University too. Speaking about the same, The Kashmir Files filmmaker said, "I was supposed to go to oxford university because Oxford Union invited me long time back. It was all confirmed on email. But just few hours before that, they said 'sorry, there was a double booking and therefore we cannot host you today.' Without asking me, they changed the date to 1st July because on the 1st of July no student will be there."
