Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is currently playing in theatres. The film earned over Rs 200 crore worldwide in just five days. This is a massive milestone for the film. Vikram's earnings are expected to surpass Rs 500 crore in the next few days at this rate. The film has gotten positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Kamal gave Vikram director Lokesh Kanagaraj a new Lexus car after the film's box office triumph. Lokesh thanked Kamal for the gesture by sharing a photo of him and Kamal posing with the new car. “Thank you so much Aandavarey @ikamalhaasan,” he tweeted yesterday.
Vikram has earned nearly Rs 200 crore (gross) worldwide in just five days, according to trade expert Ramesh Bala. He tweeted, “#Vikram enters the ₹200 Crs (crore) WW (worldwide) Gross Club,”

On Monday, Bala said that Vikram had collected more than Rs 150 crore in just three days. He wrote, “#Vikram has turned out to be a universal hit with terrific WOM. The @ikamalhaasan action extravaganza directed by @Dir_Lokesh has grossed over ₹150Cr from worldwide box-office in opening weekend, India alone accounting for ₹100 Cr+. Biggest post pandemic hit from Kollywood (sic).”

Ramesh Bala also mentioned that Vikram has achieved a remarkable feat in the United States. The film has grossed over $2 million (about Rs 15.5 crore) in the country and is still going strong.
For the unversed, in Vikram, Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Vikram from the 1986 film of the same name. Here Kamal reappears as former Black Squad agent Vikram, who previously worked for the Indian government. Besides, Vijay Sethupathi portrays a drug kingpin, while Fahadh Faasil plays the current commander of the group. Vikram is dubbed in Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
