Vivek Agnihotri REACTS to Brahmastra collection being compared to The Kashmir Files: Not in Bollywood's BO rat race

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who helmed and produced blockbuster The Kashmir Files, is known for not mincing his words on Twitter. He often shares his opinion on hot topics, gives it back to trolls and even reacts to news reports. Recently, he took to his official handle on the micro-blogging site to set the record straight about not being a part of 'Bollywood's rat race'.
On Monday, the director reacted to a news report about the box office figures of his film TKF and Karan Johar-back Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, which starred Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. The article stated that the recently released mythological adventure epic's Hindi version is yet to break the box office record of The Kashmir Files.
Reacting to this, he wrote, "Dear media, So many times I have publicly announced that we are not in Bollywood’s Box Office rat race. We are independent and at @i_ambuddha we are making research based, small budget movies to make socio-political impact & correct wrong narratives. Thanks. VRA #NotBollywood"

Earlier, in interaction with Times Now Navbharat, Vivek had said, "I used to hesitate earlier when I was a part of Bollywood but then one day I resigned from Bollywood mentally and now I am an independent filmmaker. I feel that people in Bollywood always tell you to respect their dissent against Modi ji and Hindus. I want to ask these people why don’t they ever raise their voices against the corruption in Bollywood."
He went on to add, "They never speak up against the oppression and exploitation that happen within the industry. And when they come out and say that they are standing against the power, do they think that a common man in India is so stupid that he won’t be able to see their hypocrisy?"
On the work front, the filmmaker is currently working on his upcoming project The Delhi Files.
