Sports Ministry Writes To FIFA And AFC To Allow Indian Clubs To Play As Per Schedule | Latest News

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA have been asked by the Sports Ministry to permit Indian clubs Sree Gokulam Kerala FC and ATK Mohun Bagan to participate in the competitions as planned despite the AIFF's exclusion. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) was suspended by FIFA late on Monday, which caused turmoil because the Gokulam Kerala women's squad had already travelled to Uzbekistan for their second AFC Women's Club Championship. While ATK Mohun Bagan is scheduled to play the AFC Cup 2022 (Inter-Zone semifinals) on September 7 in Bahrain, the women's squad is scheduled to fight against a side from Iran on August 23 and one from the host nation on August 26 in Qarshi.#FIFABan #AFC #SportsMinistryRead More
