Defence Minister Rajanth Singh Gets Airborne On Indigenously-Developed Light Combat Helicopters

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gets airborne on newly inducted indigenously-developed light combat helicopters. Earlier, the Indian Air Force induced the first batch of indigenously-developed Light Combat Helicopters at a ceremony in Rajasthan's Jodhpur today. The event was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari. The LCH - developed by state-run aerospace major Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd - has been primarily designed for deployment in high-altitude regions. In March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet Committee on Security had approved the procurement of 15 indigenously developed Limited Series Production LCH at a cost of Rs 3,887 crore.
