The Fifty Shades actress Dakota Johnson finally slashes the enigma behind a viral video that has been surfacing for the past several years all over social media. The clip was taken from a press conference for the 2015 murder drama Black Mass, which starred Dakota and Johnny. Some fan theories claim that it depicted Dakota noticing Depp's wounded finger.
In the video, Dakota was seen caressing Johnny's finger before leaning in to talk to him. This led to an amusing dialogue during which they both appeared to be laughing.
It was claimed, during Johnny Depp's high-profile defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, that at an altercation just a few months after their wedding in February 2015, Amber had cut the tip of his finger with a vodka bottle. Netizens after watching the press event clip started to believe that Dakota had noticed the actor’s injury.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Dakota revealed that she didn’t want to be a part of this as she has no recollection of this incident. She said, “I was like, ‘For the love of God, why? Why am I involved in this?’ I don’t remember that at all, but please, take me out of this. Don’t let this go further. Can you imagine, oh, my God, if I was called to the witness stand?”
As the actress was expressing her disbelief about the exaggeration of the internet, the Depp-Heard courtroom trial was still underway. “I can’t believe that people are watching like it’s a show. It’s like it’s a courtroom drama and my heart breaks. It’s so, so, so crazy. Humans are so f***ing weird. The internet is a wild, wild place.”
The jury on June 2 ruled in Depp's favour who prevailed with a settlement of more than $10 million. On the work front, He will play a controversial French King Louis XV in Jeanne Du Barry, albeit the movie hasn't been given a release date yet.
