Mohanlal on Saturday, August 6, took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude for getting the opportunity to visit India's first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), which will soon be commissioned as Vikrant. The Malayalam superstar also shared a bunch of pictures from his distinguished visit.
In his elongated post, Mohanlal talked about how members of the Indian Navy worked for 13 long years to construct IAC Vikrant. He also thanked the Indian Navy officials for facilitating his visit and for giving him a warm welcome.
“Honoured to be onboard India’s 1st Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), soon to be commissioned as Vikrant, built in Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kerala. After 13 long years of dedicated construction, she sets sail as a true engineering marvel that further fortifies the Indian Navy and speaks volumes about India’s shipbuilding capabilities,” wrote Mohanlal.
He continued, “I express my heartfelt gratitude for this matchless opportunity, especially to the Commanding Officer, Commodore Vidhyadhar Harke, VSM, and Mr. Madhu Nair, the Chairman & Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Limited, for their warm reception.”
“Witnessing the unmatched peculiarities of this mean machine urges me to triumphantly salute all the people behind IAC Vikrant, the wonder. May she always be victorious at sea! #IAC #VIKRANT Indian Navy,” the Drishyam actor concluded.
In the pictures that Mohanlal shared along with his post, he is seen interacting with a bunch of Indian Navy officers while looking sharp in a blue suit. One of the clicks also has Mohanlal posing in front of IAC Vikrant.
