As per the report, when contacted, the assistant choreographer said she was informed that the chargesheet has been filed. Ganesh Acharya has, on his part, refused to comment on the development, denying the charges and calling them "false and baseless".
As per the chargesheet, in her complaint, the choreographer alleged Ganesh was harassing her after she turned down his sexual advances. She even accused the choreographer of making lewd comments, showing her porn and molesting her. She also stated that he allegedly told her that if she wanted to succeed, she would have to have sex with him in May 2019. Following her refusel, the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association terminated her membership in six months.
Back in 2020 when the FIR was filed by the Mumbai Police based on the complaint raised by the assistant choreographer, Ganesh's legal team had siad they have filed a defamation case against the woman.
