Mumbai logs 108 fresh Covid-19 cases, two fatalities in Maharashtra

On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 541 cases of Covid-19, including 108 in Mumbai, and two fatalities, bringing the total to 81,19,345 cases and the death toll to 1,48,329.

Mumbai: On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 541 cases of Covid-19, including 108 in Mumbai, and two fatalities, bringing the total to 81,19,345 cases and the death toll to 1,48,329.
The agency said that the state now has 3,702 ongoing cases after 546 patients were discharged throughout the day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 79,67,314.
The two Covid-19 deaths were recorded in the regions of Nagpur and Navi Mumbai.
In Maharashtra, the case recovery rate is 98.13 percent, while the mortality rate is 1.82 percent.
The number of infections in Mumbai increased to 11,48,859, and there were 19,729 fatalities.
191 new cases were reported in the Mumbai area, bringing the total number of cases and deaths to 23,78,847 and 40,098, respectively.
There were 40 instances recorded in the Nashik division, 231 in the Pune region, 19 in Kolhapur, 13 in Aurangabad, 14 in Latur, 15 in Akola, and 18 in Nagpur.

On September 25, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) recorded 23 new COVID cases. The number of new COVID cases in September has been on the decline thus far. In addition, there are now 161 fewer active cases than there were last month (910).
On September 25, 23 patients received their discharges.
