Washington: A video of United States President Joe Biden has emerged in which the world leader appears confused and lost on stage after delivering a speech.

The incident happened on Wednesday after Biden delivered his remarks at the Global Fund's Seventh Replenishment Conference in New York.

The US President delivered his remarks, turned to leave the podium and walked a few steps before stopping when he appeared lost and confused.

Biden could be seen in the viral video saying something which was not audible.

It appeared that Biden was confused about from where to get down from the podium.

The event was organised to raise funds for the campaign against diseases like AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. A total of USD 14.25 billion were raised at the event.

Addressing the event, Biden said, “Thank you for fighting for what counts. This is all about saving lives - there's no ambiguity here - working with partners to ensure that all communities are healthy and strong - at least have a shot at being healthy and strong; that people everywhere can live in dignity.”

"Let's demonstrate our collective power to take on challenges that matter most in people's lives and deliver progress. We have so much - so much to do, so let's get to work. And thank you all for all you're doing," he added, according to the text of the speech uploaded on the website of the White House.
