What is vasculitis?

Here is what we know about vasculitis:
The condition is a general term for several other issues that cause inflammation in the blood vessels. Also known as angiitis or arteritis, it makes the blood vessels bigger, narrower, and stretched causing them to completely close and hinder blood circulation.
This autoimmune disease can affect a person at any age and attack only specific organs where the blood supply gets stopped like the brain, skin, or eyes.

What causes vasculitis?

Doctors cannot clearly say what are the causes of vasculitis but attribute it to an allergic reaction or any medication, or an infection that triggers damage to the immune system. Vasculitis is also connected to other auto-immune diseases like lupus, arthritis, etc.

  • Loss of appetite
