September has ended and October seems to be ushering in the festive cheer. Auto majors logged healthy sales growth in September this year and with the festive season and new launches ahead, there is likely more to come. India's largest car manufacturer Maruti, is looking at SUV sales to pick up further while M&M has a positive outlook on its new launches. It's not just the auto sector though, September GST mop-up came in at `1.47 Lk Cr. Power consumption grew 13.3% YoY and Air traffic showed resilience in a weak month.
