Father of 11, Pakistan man marries 5 times

Islamabad, Pakistan: It’s nearly impossible that everyone finds true love in a lifetime but lightning struck five times for a Pakistani man. A father of 11, Shaukat married for the 5th time last year.
From his past four marriages, Shaukat has ten daughters and a son, 40 grandchildren and 11 children-in-law. There are 62 members in the family in all.
His story came to light after a March 2021 interview of the then-56 year old with Youtuber and content creator Yasir Shami went viral recently.
Eight of the quinguagenarian’s daughters and his only son had been married before his fifth wedding. Speaking to Daily Pakistan, he explained how his two unmarried daughters insisted he tie the knot one final time and settle down for good.
On the day of their wedding, as the daughters prepared to walk down the aisle, Shaukat suited up to get married for the fifth time.
When asked how she feels about this marriage, the wife said she was happy and getting on with the unusually large family.
In moments of levity, Shami even attempted to work out how many “Rotis” the entire household eats for one meal. “Even if they [the 62 family members] eat 2 Chapatis each, you’d have to make 124,” he said.
Recently, a 63-year-old Saudi Arabian polygamist claimed to have married 53 times seeking “stability” and not pleasure.
"When I married for the first time, I did not plan to marry more than one woman because I was feeling comfortable and had children." Abu Abdullah told MBC.
However, conflicts with the wife - who was six years older than him - led him to marry another woman. Soon, the spouses began to have issues co-existing with each other. That's when he married two more women in quick succession and subsequently divorced the first two.
This went on for decades until the man finally decided he was with someone who would make him happy.
