Chiranjeevi’s GodFather first movie reviews out: Fans call it ‘Unanimous blockbuster’

Chiranjeevi's Telugu political action-thriller GodFather has released in theatres today, October 5. The Mohan Raja directorial, which has Ram Charan as one of the producers is a remake of the 0219 Malayalam film Lucifer. The early reviews for the film have started coming in on Twitter, showing a largely positive response from the audience.

Apart from Chiranjeevi, GodFather also starsSalman Khan, Nayanthara, Puri Jagannadh and Satyadev Kancharana. The film sees Chiranjeevi in the titular role who opposes a powerful man's plot to smuggle narcotics in Hyderabad. How does he manage to foil and expose the person becomes the crux of the plot.

South Industry tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted that the film is a blockbuster, writing, "Unanimous Blockbuster reports for #GodFather from overseas premieres BOSS IS BACK.”

The Twitter page Venky Reviews shared, "#Godfather A Good Political Action-Thriller that is a faithful remake which sticks true to the core but has changes that keep the proceedings engaging. Megastar and Thaman show all the way. Fine job of making changes without spoiling the core. Good One"

Meanwhile, ahead of the film’s release, Chiranjeevi had downplayed the Box office clash GodFather will see with Nagarjuna’s The Ghost.
