Not the time to lose hope, those who were upset left: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tells Congress workers in UP

Lucknow: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday addressed the 'Nav Sankalp Shivir' in Lucknow and sparked enthusiasm amongst the party workers saying 'this is not the time to lose hope.' Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also lauded the UP congress workers for fighting effortlessly in recent state polls.
"Entire country saw how UP Congress workers, leaders fought. At Udaipur Shivir many told me that they were inspired by the way UP Cong workers fought. Though it's true that despite fighting effortlessly we lost abysmally but this is not the time to lose hope," the Congress General Secretary said.
The two-day 'Nav Sankalp Shivir', which will conclude on Thursday is being organised to discuss the revival strategy of Congress in UP. All-district and city presidents, MLAs, former MLAs and party candidates for the Assembly polls and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections are expected to attend the event.
Without taking names, Priyanka Gandhi also took a jibe at leaders who quit the party recently saying 'whoever wanted to be upset is gone.' "What next now! Should we lose hope? Whoever wanted to be upset is gone...but those present here will fight...You didn't leave even in challenging circumstances, stood by the party and ideology," she said.
