One charger for all gadgets?

If you forget the charger again and again, keep different chargers for different devices, then all the trouble can be over soon.the central government is preparing whether there should be a charger of only one design for all types of gadgets that we use mostly. For this, the government has written a letter to the industry for a meeting on August 17. called. The agenda of the meeting is whether electronic gadgets can be divided into two categories, uniform / common charger can be kept for them.Have a similar/uniform design charger by setting a category for large sized gadgets like laptops, tabs, etc.Whereas for small or medium-sized gadgets such as commonly used gadgets such as phones, earbuds, headphones, smart watches, health gadgets, speakers, a kind of charging system for which there is a Type C charger. Also, there should be a separate charger for premium devices.- Government called an important meeting on August 17- All stakeholders will be involved in the meetingThere will be discussion on the same Type C charger for all types of gadgetsApart from this, gadgets of premium category have been kept separate from this.- Users will have ease, hassle will end- There will be cost saving for companiesThe government believes that this will help in preventing a large amount of e-waste.- Eliminates the need to buy a charger every time it malfunctionsThe hassle of remembering or carrying different types of chargers will end.Another big advantage that the government looks at with this step, the government will be able to stop the import of cheap and substandard quality goods.Confirming the development to ET Now, Rohit Singh, Secretary Ministry of Consumer Affairs says that Government is exploring the possibility to develop a frame that there should be a uniform charger for small and medium size electronic gazettes. This will not only help consumers but will also help to reduce the electronic waste to a great extent in coming years. In addition, Secretary Mr. Singh says that the industry will also be benefitted as this may help the industry to being down the input cost as well.
