Xiaomi 13 Ultra tipped to launch soon: Here are the details

Xiaomi is set to launch its next Ultra smartphone in the global markets, after a company executive has hinted towards the same via Twitter. While Xiaomi has not confirmed the name of the device, it is expected to be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Lei Jun, Chief Executive Officer at Xiaomi has stated on Twitter that the company's next Ultra smartphone will be launched globally.

Recently, various leaks of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have started appearing online. The Xiaomi 13 series could be powered by the SM8550 chipset, which is said to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The devices could also come with a ceramic back cover made by BYD and may could run on Android 13 out-of-the-box. To recall, the company had launched its Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone in July, only in China.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra comes with a 6.73-inch LTPO 2 2k AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone features a new triple camera setup comprising a 50.3MP IMX989 which has a 1-inch primary sensor from Sony. Other cameras on the phone include a 48MP telephoto sensor and a 48MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device packs a 32MP front camera. The phone is backed by a 4860mAh battery and comes with 67W wired/ 50W wireless fast charging.
