New Delhi: A horrific incident came to light from the Seelampur area of the national capital, where a 12-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped and a rod was reportedly inserted in his private parts.
Taking cognisance of the matter, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal said, "In Delhi, not even boys are safe."
Swati Maliwal wrote on Twitter, "A 12-year-old boy was brutally raped by four people and left in a half-dead condition after being beaten with sticks."
The chairperson also said that an FIR has been registered by the DCW team in regard to the matter. Police have arrested one person out of the four accused, but three of them are still absconding, Maliwal added.
A notice was issued to the Delhi police by Delhi Commission for Women and Maliwal mentioned in the complaint that four men gang-raped the minor boy and even "inserted a rod" in his private parts, news agency IANS reported.
The DCW chairperson said that the minor was also beaten with sticks and rods. On September 22, the minor informed his parents about the incident and narrated his horrifying ordeal, the DCW chief said.
As per reports, the boy is in a very critical condition and he is under treatment.
A detailed action report along with a copy of the FIR has been sought by the DCW chief from the Delhi police by September 28.
