Mysuru: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi struck a defiant note on Sunday as he addressed a public rally in Karnataka amid pouring rain. The Bharat Jodo Yatra, he asserted, would go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and 'no one could stop them'. Earlier in the day the Wayanad MP had said that the march would spread message of ahimsa and 'swaraj' amid 'politics of violence and lies'.
"No one can stop us from uniting India. No one can stop us from raising the voice of India. Will go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, no one can stop the Bharat Jodi Yatra," Gandhi tweeted, sharing a clip from his address.

Earlier in the day, the senior Congress leader had offered a floral tribute to the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Khadi Gramodyog in Badanavalu followed by a prayer meeting.
"With Gandhi 'topi' on his head, Bapu's values in his heart and intention to unite India, Rahul Gandhi along with other participants of Bharat Jodo Yatra visited Khadi Village Industries at Badnavalu in memory of Bapu on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti," the Congress tweeted.
"There are various institutions in democracy. There's media and Parliament too but all these have been shut for the opposition and media doesn't listen to us. There's total government control. Our mics are muted in Parliament, Assemblies are not allowed to function and opposition is harassed. In this situation, the only option left with us is 'Bharat Jodo Yata," Gandhi had said at a public meeting earlier this week.
