Kichcha Sudeep and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Vikrant Rona had a mid-week release across the world, but seems to have managed good numbers at the box office. The Anup Bhandari directorial is made on a massive budget and saw extensive promotions, including Salman Khan's Salman Khan Films pushing the movie in the Hindi belt.
For the unversed, Vikrant Rona is an action-adventure thriller that also stars Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok. The film follows Police Officer Vikrant Rona as he is assigned to investigate an unusual mysterious murder case in a forest village.
As per reports, Vikrant Rona managed to collect Rrs 1 crore nett on its first day in the Hindi language belt. Overall, it has collected between Rs 40-45 crore at the box office on Day 1. The film is expected to have crossed the Rs 50 crore mark globally, considering it had a worldwide opening.

According to a tweet by AndhraBoxoffice, it grossed Rs 2 crore in the region. They tweeted, "#VikrantRona has posted a Good opening in AP&TS by grossing around ₹2 Cr Apx in Total. Trending was on the raise through the day and many 3D shows have gone houseful by the night!"

According to a tweet by the film's official handle, the film has 91 per cent rating on Book My Show, while it has a 9.6 rating on IMDB, hinting towards favourable response at the box office.
Vikrant Rona haas released in 14 languages across the world with a dark 3D experience. According to a report by India.com, trade experts have opined that the film has alreaady clocked Rs 7 to Rs 9 crore in advance bookings, with the majority of the revenue coming from the Kannada langauge versions.
Interestingly, the opening of Kichcha Sudeep's Vikrant Rona has been better than recent releases like Vikram Valimai, Beast and 777 Charlie. However, the film is set to face stiff competition from Mohit Suri's Ek Villain Returns, starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria.
