Ghaziabad student fight

Uttar Pradesh: Junior and senior students of an engineering college in Ghaziabad got into a brawl Wednesday that escalated to criminal charges for some. A viral video from the incident shows the moment two students hit by a speeding Honda City car were sent flying but stood back on their feet and resumed fighting.
The incident occurred when two student groups took on one another in the Masuri area.

Car hits students

Social media is awash with a horrific clip from the clash, in which the students gathered outside a college seem to hastily get out of the way when they spot a speeding car.
A wrong-side motorist driving a white Honda City emerges into view and swerves in a bid to run over two students. The strike sends the men flying as one of them lands on the hood and the other is knocked to the side.
The seemingly-brutal impact launches their footwears into the air and results in a cracked windshield. In no time, they were back on their feet and prepared to fight when a bystander intercepted the student wearing a black shirt and started slapping him.

What the police said

While many fled the scene initially, police said some from the mob had been taken into custody and were being questioned.
“The brawl broke out over a petty issue of respect between seniors and juniors of an engineering college. The car was being driven by a student who lost control and could not apply brakes in time. With regard to the fight, a case has been registered under IPC section 147 (rioting) and 148 (rioting with weapon),” superintendent of police Iraj Raja was quoted by The Indian Express as saying.
