Arjun Kapoor wants to follow in father Boney Kapoor’s footsteps; actor wishes to direct and produce films

Arjun Kapoor has been working in the industry since 10 years now. He made his acting debut with 2012’s hit film Ishaqzaade. He recently featured in the film Ek Villain Returns. The film also starred John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles.

Let us tell you, Arjun Kapoor is the son of famous Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor. Nowadays, many actors have been producing their own films and web shows.

In an interview with ETimes, Arjun said that production is in his mind and considers himself a producer at heart. Looks like, he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps.

While expressing his wish to produce and direct films in future, Arjun Kapoor said, “Most actors are director’s actors, but I am also a producer’s actor and that gives me an edge and adds value for people who work with me. I am somebody who wants to produce and direct. I want to have a 360-degree perspective on filmmaking, including shows and limited series. But it will happen with time; there is no reason to be in a hurry right now. I have to focus on my craft first. It’s great to multitask, but at the end of the day, I think I owe it to my ticket-buying audience to work hard and stay focused.”

Arjun Kapoor also informed the portal that he wants to currently focus on his acting career and after delivering some fantastic films in the coming years, he would divert some attention to building his production and direction thought process.

Arjun’s film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was released on the OTT platform. The film received positive response from the viewers. However, the actor has not accepted his second OTT project as he doesn’t want to jump to the same. He doesn’t want to do the same kind of stuff on OTT.

Talking about his upcoming projects, Arjun Kapoor will next be seen in films such as Kuttey, Meri Patni Ka Remake and The Lady Killer.
