Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally as per schedule, no plan to shift it out of Punjab

Folowing reports of Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally in Punjab getting allegedly shifted, sources have stated that that is not the case. The Agnipath recruitment rallies would progress as per schedule in the state of Punjab. Recruitment rally begins from September 17 in Patiala.

Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally under the Agneepath Scheme would be conducted as per schedule. Indian Army sources have shared that the Army is not planning to shift the recruitment rallies out of Punjab to any state.
Confusion spread amid rumours that the recruitment rally might be shifted out of the state. Some news of Army shifting Agnipath Recruitemnt rallies to other state “due to lack of supports from local Civil Administration” started to go viral. However, sources in Indian Army have now affirmed that the Agnipath scheme recruitment would progress as per schedule.
Sources have stated that recruitment rallies in Ludhiana and Gurdaspur have been successfully conducted with the full support of civil administration.’ The registration and footfall of candidates have been encouraging as per trends of previous years’, states the response.
Agnipath Recruitment Rally is schedule to be conducted at Patiala from September 17 to September 30; Ferozpur from November 1 to November 16; Jalandhar from November 21 to December 10. Recruitment rally for Women Agniveers would also be conducted as scheduled. All rallies would be scheduled in coordination with the Civil Administration.
Speaking on support for the rallies, CP Jalandhar has stated that they have not received any letter as yet. The police has also stated that all support shall be provided and adequate arrangements will be made, if asked.
