Akshay Kumar's Samrat Prithviraj tickets sell for Rs 1,500 in Delhi

Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar starrer YRF film Samrat Prithviraj is all slated to hit the big screens on Friday, June 3. Directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film is based on the Braj language epic poem Prithviraj Raso and also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in pivotal roles.
The film, which got delayed due to the raging COVID-19 pandemic has already generated immense interest among the audience. The film not only brings to the big screen the history of one of the most celebrated Indian kings, but with its stellar cast and mammoth scope promises to be a major big screen spectacle.
Gauging by the interest in the film, we decided to do a little digging around and it seems that booking prices for tickets to the movie are already skyrocketing.

As per BookMyShow, ticket prices in Delhi’s PVR Director’s Cut, Ambience Mall are over Rs 1000. The theatre has two kinds of seating capacity. While the Platinum seats are worth Rs 1,300 each, the Platinum Superior is worth a whopping Rs 1,500! And to top it, the more expensive seats for the Akshay Kumar starrer film are already sold out!
Not only Delhi, Mumbai ticket prices for the YRF production have skyrocketed as well! Night shows for Insignia at Atria Mall, Worli are getting sold for Rs 1,400 each. On the other hand, PVR: LUXE, Phoenix Palladium, Lower Parel in Mumbai is selling its Prime and Prime Plus tickets for Samrat Prithviraj at Rs 1100 each.
Meanwhile, the first reviews of Samrat Prithviraj are already in. Overseas film critic Umair Sadhu shared Samrat Prithviraj's review on Twitter, writing, “Review #SamratPrithviraj. There’s no room for dullness screenplay.The writing is tight, the drama keeps you hooked & the romantic track is wonderful. Be it the war sequences or the sword fights or general action, is incredible.#AkshayKumar & #ManushiChhillar Jodi is HOT."
