Mumbai Mega Block Update for August 14: Local train services to be affected on Central and Harbour lines; check details here

There will be a five-hour block on Sunday between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai and Vidyavihar stations on the UP and down slow lines from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm. Fast train services will be affected on the route from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. The mega block will also be operated on the Harbour Line.

Mumbai: Mumbai local train services will be affected on the Central and the Harbour Lines on Sunday, i.e August 14. The Central Railway for Mumbai division will operate a mega block on its suburban sections for carrying out maintenance work of rail tracks. However, there will be no day block on the Western line.
There will be a five-hour block on Sunday between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai and Vidyavihar stations on the UP and down slow lines from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm. Fast train services will be affected on the route from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. Slow trains on this route will be diverted to fast lines during the mega block period. The mega block will also be operated on the Harbour Line.
Details of the mega block on the Central Line:
Down slow services leaving CSMT from 10:48 am to 3:49 pm will be diverted on the Down fast line between CSMT and Vidyavihar stations. Trains halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion and Kurla stations and further rediverted on Down slow line.
Meanwhile, Up slow services leaving Ghatkopar from 10:41 am to 3:52 pm will be diverted on the Up fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT and will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel and Byculla stations.
Details of the mega block on the Harbour Line:
Down Harbour line services to Panvel /Belapur/Vashi leaving CSMT from 10:34 am to 3:36 pm and Up Harbour line services towards CSMT leaving Vashi/Belapur/Panvel from 10:16 am to 3:47 pm will remain suspended. However, Special services will run between CSMT-Kurla and Vashi -Panvel stations during the block period. Meanwhile, Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Trans harbour line (Thane-Vashi/Nerul) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during the block period.
Notably, there will be no day block on the Western Line. The Western Railway undertook a major block of four hours between Mumbai Central and Mahim during the intervening night of August 13 and 14 in order to carry out maintenance work of tracks, overhead and signalling equipment
