The people of Pathankot, in Punjab are not very happy with actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol. Recently, 'missing' posters of the actor have appeared across Pathankot. The posters, 'gumshuda ki talash (search for the missing)', have been pasted on the walls of houses, railway stations and behicles in the city against the MP from Gurdaspur.

Sunny Deol faces flak as posters of 'missing' actor and MP put up across Punjab's Pathankot

It seems that the people of Pathankot, in Punjab are not very happy with actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol. The son of legendary actor Dharmendra, Sunny Deol himself is an accomplished actor and current Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur (Lok Sabha constituency) of Punjab, India. However, recently, 'missing' posters of the actor have appeared across Pathankot.
The posters, 'gumshuda ki talash (search for the missing)', have been pasted on the walls of houses, railway stations and behicles in the city against the MP from Gurdaspur.
Earlier today, news agency ANI, tweeted the images, writing, "Posters of "missing" BJP MP Sunny Deol pasted on walls of houses, railway station, vehicles."

The news agency quoted a local protesting the actor and MP's absence as saying, "After becoming MP, he never visited Gurdaspur. He calls himself the son of Punjab but he hasn't brought any industrial development,not allocated MP funds or brought any central govt scheme here. If he doesn't want to work, he should tender his resignation."

As per reports, ever since Deol was elected as MP from the constituency, the actor has been facing criticism from political rivals. According to Hindustan Times, the actor-turned politicial last visited Gurdaspur-Pathankot sometimes last in September 2020, where he met senior officials to discuss COVID-19 pandemic and other issues.
Incidentally, Deol was also starkly absent in the recently-held Punjab assembly elections despite him being in high demand for the campaign due to his celebrity status.
Meanwhile, the actor was last seen in R Balki's Chup, where he shared screenspace with South star Dulquer Salmaan. Chup: Revenge of the Artist is based on a serial killer, who targets film critics who give dishonest reviews for films. Sunny essayed the role of IG Arving Mathur, the man assigned the task to bring in the murderer.
