Anil Kapoor's American doppelganger wants to star in Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai remake: 'Grew up watching SRK, Hrithik'
American bodybuilder John Effer, who took the internet by storm with his uncanny resemblance to Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, opened up about his 'Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai' moment. He said that he wants to star in the sequel of the Hrithik Roshan film with Anil.
An American bodybuilder recently had a 'Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai' moment when he came across a picture of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor. We are talking about John Effer who recently made headlines for his uncanny resemblance to the veteran actor. In a recent interview, he opened up about the moment he realised that he has a famous doppelganger and also spoke about his love for Bollywood.
The US-based bodybuilder said that he grew up watching movies of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actor Hrithik Roshan. He added that when he first saw the picture of Anil, he could relate to Hrithik's character from the 2000 romantic drama.

"Although I’m from the US, I’m familiar with Bollywood. My parents enjoy learning about different cultures & so, they introduced me to Bollywood at a young age. Bollywood films were a beautiful escape…the cinema is so wholesome! I grew up watching SRK & Hrithik Roshan’s movies & found myself relating to Hrithik Roshan’s character from ‘Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai’ when he sees the picture of a man who looks exactly like him," he said during an interaction with the Instagram page Humans of Bombay.
Effer, who is keen on working in films, said that it 'would be a dream come true' to star in a Bollywood movie. He added, "I feel Bollywood must make a Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai Part 2 with Anil Kapoor and I."
