MP Zomato man murder: Drug addicts among six arrested for sensational killing

The police have now arrested the assailants after scanning 80 CCTV cameras in the area for 11 days. Sunil, a Zomato delivery boy succumbed to stab injuries after a group of men attacked him with the intention to rob him of his money and the food he was going to deliver.

Indore: A Zomato delivery boy was murdered with knives, in the Banganga police station area of Indore in Madhya Pradesh. After 11 days, the police succeeded in arresting six accused, including two drug addicts, with the help of 80 CCTV cameras, Navbharat Times reported.
Disclosing the details of the murder case, DCP Dharmendra Bhadauria said that a 20-year-old youth resident of Bhagora village of Rajgarh, Sunil Verma, used to work as a delivery boy in the Zomato company. On the night of July 28, Sunil was going to Karolbagh to deliver, where six miscreants stopped Sunil and asked for money and food. When Sunil refused to give money and food to the miscreants, the miscreants attacked Sunil with knives and injured him and fled from the spot.
Sunil succumbed to the stab injuries. The police have now arrested the assailants after scanning 80 CCTV cameras in the area for 11 days.
In addition to four men being detained, Vishal Mewadi (19) and Arjun Gudrant (20) were arrested on suspicion of murder, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dharmendra Singh Bhadoria. He said that on the night of the event, Mewadi, Gudrant, and the guys were using drugs, smoking marijuana, and consuming beer in a desolate area.
Bhadauria said, "their goal was to rob Verma, who was on a motorcycle, of the bag carrying food packs. They stabbed him, stopped him, seized his luggage, and stole his wallet, which had Rs 4,000.”
The location of the fight between Verma and his assailants was where the police discovered a torn bag from the food delivery service. Even though Verma was severely injured in the knife attack, according to him, he nevertheless rode the motorcycle to get to a private hospital. However, he could not be saved there.
