New Delhi: In a noble gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with young girls at his residence in Delhi on Thursday. Interestingly, the girls who tied rakhis to PM Modi were the daughters of sweepers, peons, gardeners, drivers, and other employees working at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
In the video, PM Modi girls are seen entering the prime minister's official residence and tying rakhis to PM Modi. He also interacted with the young girls and gave his blessings to them.
The prime minister also greeted people on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan. "Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan," PM Modi tweeted.
Meanwhile, widows of Vrindavan have sent 501 'rakhis' and 75 national flags to PM Modi on Raksha Bandhan.
The widows living in Maa Sharda and Radha Tila ashrams in Vrindavan themselves made the rakhis with colour photos of PM Modi.
This is not the first time that PM Modi has surprised with his sweet and kind gestures. In December 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh for the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor and was seen sitting on the stands with 'Karamyogis' and happily obliging for photographs with them.
Not only this, PM Modi along with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had lunch with the workers involved in construction work of Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor.
