In 2022, two films have released around the Independence Day weekend. The first is Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, the pfficial Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump. The other is Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer family drama Raksha Bandhan. Both films released on August 11.
