Stray Kids member Hyunjin’s grandfather passed away recently. The sad news was shared with the fans in a statement by the group’s agency after which social media fled with condolences for the idol and his family.
The update was given today, on October 4. The band’s company, JYP Entertainment informed the fans about the same and added that this will lead to a change in Hyunjin’s schedule and his participation in Stray Kids’ upcoming activities.
The line-up will remain the same, but he will not be able to take part in it for a while. To give a clear picture, the agency shared everything in a statement.
"Hello, this is JYPE. Stray Kids member Hyunjin's maternal grandfather has passed away. Consequently, Hyunjin will not be attending 'NACIFIC's 'Stray Kids Video Call Date Part.2' scheduled for today (10/4),” read the notice.
Not a lot of details were shared but it is to be known that Hyunjin will be going for some time to be with his family. Fans after receiving the news shared their condolences and asked the singer to take as much time as he needs. They even consoled him by urging that he not think too much about the schedule.
As for the statement, it ended by adding, “We ask for the kind understanding of STAY, and please send Hyunjin warm words of consolation. Rest in Peace.”
Meanwhile, as for the professional front, the group has a comeback lined up. Their new mini album, MAXIDENT will be dropping on October 7 along with the music video for the title track.
As for the songs, the album contains eight tracks in total – Case 143, followed by, Chill, Give Me Your TMI, Super Board, and a Korean version of Circus. Aside from that, the album has three unit songs, namely, 3RACHA, Taste and Can't Stop.
