TV actress Chhavi Mittal has been inspiring millions of people through her social media posts. The 41-year-old, who underwent a breast cancer surgery in April, has been sharing tidbits about her recovery. From informing fans about her diet post her surgery to revealing details about her radiotherapy session, the Krishnadasi star has been documenting her recovery process via her vlogs and posts.
On Monday (June 13), Chhavi posted a series of pictures from an event that she attended. The actress wore a yellow outfit, looking picture-perfect as ever. While she flashed her million-dollar, it was her long post that captured the attention of the netizens.
Chhavi penned a long note as she proudly shared a photo where she flaunted her surgery scar. She said that some people 'flinched' at the sight of her scar.
She added that her scar reminded her of the battle that she fought against cancer. The Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi actress called herself a proud cancer survivor as she penned her thoughts on social media.
"Scars. You can see the ones on the body.. but you’ll never see the ones etched on the bearer’s soul. Yesterday when I found the courage to flaunt this scar… there were some who flinched at the sight of it. I say, if the mere sight of it makes you flinch, imagine what I felt when it was given to me! But in my opinion, a man is not a complete man if he has the nerve to look down and admire a woman’s assets but is not brave enough to appreciate the effort she went through to save those assets," Chhavi wrote.
The actress also revealed that people have asked her to remove the scars with laser. However, she is clear that she wouldn't do it.
"Some have also asked me if I’ll remove these scars with a laser or some such and I say never! They remind me of the fight I fought and the victory I achieved. Why would I ever want to hide these battle scars! That would be tampering with evidence! Proud to be a #cancersurvivor," she added.
Chhavi resumed work within a few days of undergoing a six-hour long journey. The actress, who is a proud mom to Areeza and Arham, had said that she was 'working towards healing'.
