Agniveer Scheme 2022: Uttar Pradesh police nabs two for forging documents in recruitment exam

Uttar Pradesh police on Wednesday arrested two youths in Muzaffarnagar for allegedly using forged documents in the Agniveer recruitment exam. Police arrested the two alleged culprits, Kamal Singh and Mehkar Singh, with the help of the Army intelligence unit.

Uttar Pradesh police on Wednesday arrested two youths in Muzaffarnagar for allegedly using forged documents in the Agniveer recruitment exam. Police arrested the two alleged culprits, Kamal Singh and Mehkar Singh, with the help of the Army intelligence unit.
Uttar Pradesh police arrested them near the Agniveer recruitment rally on Wednesday evening. Police on Thursday informed media that these two used forged documents to participate in the Agniveer recruitment exam.
This is not the first Agniveer recruitment fraud case registered in Uttar Pradesh, UP STF recently nabbed one of the army jawans for running an Agniveer recruitment scam. The Army Jawan was also arrested on the basis of Military Intelligence.
Army recruitment rally in UP's Muzzafarnagar and Agra started on September 20 and will continue till October 10, 2022. As per the reports, over 1.6 lakh people have registered for Agniveer recruitment in 13 cities of the Meerut region. While, in the Agra region, over 1.7 lakh people have registered for 12 cities.
The army is conducting the Agniveer recruitment rally for the selection of candidates for various posts offered under the Agnipath recruitment scheme 2022. Army Agniveer rally is conducted in various states as per the zones. Candidates are required to register themselves first to be considered to appear for the rally.
