On Sunday, Diljit Dosanjh revealed new dates for his current world tour. Between June and August 2022, Diljit will perform live in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada as part of the Born To Shine Tour. On June 19, he will continue the leg in Vancouver. Diljit shared information about the tour on Instagram, including a video of him playing a segment of his song Born To Shine from the album G.O.A.T., which was released in 2021.
Diljit, who has appeared in both Punjabi and Hindi films, is known for posting the most hilarious videos on social media, and he sure did not disappoint with his most recent Instagram post. He wrote in the caption of his latest post, “Born To Shine World Tour 2022. See you this summer folks…”
Diljit is shown flinging currency notes while walking around with cash and a Louis Vuitton bag, with the words 'paise poose baare billo soche duniya, Jatt paida hoya bas chhaun vaaste' (the world only thinks about money, but I was born to shine) playing in the background. Diljit clarified his caption for the video, when he is seen surrounded by women, at the end. “Paise Nakli Ain… Dil Te Na La Leyo (the money used is fake, don’t take it to heart).”
Diljit, who has been in Bollywood films such as Good Newwz and Udta Punjab, performed live in Gurugram and Jalandhar earlier in 2022 as part of the tour. "It took a lot of planning and hard work to finally get to this point and perform in India. The Born To Shine world tour has been a magnificent experience for me. As a performer, nothing matters more to me than to entertain my fans and the shows at Gurugram and Jalandhar helped me connect with them after a long time,” Diljit told Daijiworld.
Diljit revealed the poster for his upcoming film, Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne, earlier this month. Sargun Mehta also stars in the Punjabi film, which will be released later this year. Amarjit Singh Saron, a well-known Punjabi filmmaker, is helming it.
