A new spin-off for Thor: Love and Thunder's Valkyrie aka Tessa Thompson?- here's what we know

Tessa Thompson reprises her role as Valkyrie in the newly released movie Thor: Love and Thunder, which also features Natalie Portman reprising her role as Jane Foster. Many people feel that Thompson's Valkyrie should also be on the list of characters who deserve to have their own show, especially in light of the way that Marvel has been creating spin-off shows for their well-liked, popular characters.

The same question was put to Thompson during a recent interview with Extra. She was questioned if there was a possibility that we would see her perform a solo project as Valkyrie any time soon, given that her character in Thor: Love and Thunder is currently playing the role of King of New Asgard. Tessa said, "I don't know. I love playing the character so any chance I get to play her in any form, I'm happy to."

Fans have been eager for Marvel to explore another facet of Thompson's character, which is her queer identity. She was previously questioned about the likelihood of a Captain Marvel and Valkyrie romance considering that she will feature in The Marvels. Speaking of how her character's romantic life has thus far been the main focus, she told Pinkvilla, "She hasn't had a ton of time to focus too squarely on her love life since she's been besought with a lot of kingly duties."

Although many people think there's a lot to learn about the character of Valkyrie, they would like it if Thompson were to spearhead a solo project to highlight her role. As for Thor: Love and Thunder, she has partnered up with Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor to battle Christian Bale's Gorr, the god butcher, in the movie.
