BJP national executive meet: Telangana govt has become a symbol of corruption, Piyush Goyal slams KCR

Hyderabad: Targeting Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said that the TRS government has become a symbol of corruption. Eying expansion in the southern state, the BJP is holding two-day national executive meeting in Hyderabad. The matting beagn on Saturday. Goyal said that it is the members of the same family holding key positions in the government and that the people now want a change in Telangana. Chief Minister KCR is often accuesed of promoting his son KTR, and other family members. KTR is minister in the current TRS government.

Earlier in the day, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also in Hyderabad, said that on the first day of the national executive committee meeting, the party discussed economic resolution. Today, on the second day, it was the turn to discuss political resolution. Union Home Minister Amit Shah moved the resolution and it was passed unanimously.
The BJP leaders on Saturday had slammed the chief minister for not personally receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport. Hitting out at the CM, Union minister Smriti Irani said that KCR just not insulted an individual but also an institution. "He jeopardised integrity of the constitution. Politics maybe a circus for KCR's party, but for BJP workers it is a medium for social emancipation and nation-building," she said.
Hours before PM Modi reached the city, opposition's presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha had reached Hyderabad and the chief minister went to the airport to receive him. However, he did not receive the PM.
Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay said that his party did not know why KCR did that. "When the tiger comes, foxes run away. Now when the tiger has come, he (KCR) is running away, we don't know why is he doing this? In the coming days, saffron and lotus flags will be hoisted here," he said.
