Bhediya box office prediction: Will Varun's horror-comedy topple Kartik's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2?
Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya is eagerly awaited by moviegoers. The trailer and songs of Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy seem to have done the trick and all eyes are now on how it will fare at the box office.

Bhediya, starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is set to hit theatres this Friday, November 25. The impressive trailer of the Amar Kaushik directorial has created quite a buzz and it is expected to fare well at the box office. Earlier this year, Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had proved to be a blockbuster.

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. The film narrates the story of Bhaskar, played by Varun, who begins to transform into a werewolf. With its comic punches and striking visuals, Bhediya trailer has managed to amp up the excitement level.

Trade is hopeful that Bhediya will take a good start at the box office. Since it is a horror-comedy, there are bounds to be comparisons with Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the sequel had collected more than Rs 180 crore.
In an exclusive chat with Zoom TV Digital, India’s leading film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi opined that Bhediya has the potential to take the box office by storm.
He told us, “Bhediya certainly looks like a good exciting commercial film. Whether it goes beyond any particular film’s numbers or not will entirely depend on the merit, the engagement, the entertainment value, and the theatrical worthiness of the film.”
He further added, “Going by everything I have seen so far, plus add the 3D element to it, the songs which have become popular, Bhediya certainly has the firepower to do very good numbers. Which film’s number it crosses or doesn’t cross is something we will know when the movie releases.”
2022 has been a rather dull year for Bollywood and Varun Dhawan is one of the few leading actors who has delivered a successful film with Jugjugg Jeeyo. Therefore, expectations are high from Bhediya!
