Former Norwegian diplomat shares aerial shot of beachside road in India's Karnataka, calls it ‘World’s Most Beautiful Cycling Route'

A former Norwegian diplomat tweeted an aerial shot of one of the scenic cycling routes in India. Erik Solheim shared the picture of a beachside road in Karnataka's Udupi district. Solheim called the beach road the "world's most beautiful cycling route".
The former diplomate, in a tweet, said, "World’s Most Beautiful Cycling Route ? Udupi, Karnataka, India." After Solheim shared the image, it garnered more than 47,000 likes. The ex-Norwegian diplomate did not reveal the location of the road.
However, netizens guessed it to be as Maravanthe Beach near the town of Byndoor in Udupi district. Notably, the image shared by Solheim was originally taken by Dhenesh Annamalai. He shared the image first on his Instagram handle, @aerial_holic. He shared the image on March 9.
Along with the image, Annamalai wrote, "Maravanthe Beach so unique is the fact that it is surrounded by two beautiful water bodies, namely the Arabian Sea on the western side, while the placid and amazing Sauparnika River on the eastern side."
Responding to the ex-Norwegian diplomat's tweet, some of the Twitter users contradicted Solheim's claim. One of the Twitter users wrote, "For those advising it as NH & can't do cycling, let me correct. It's not NH u quoting of another heaven #Maravante beach in Byndooru, this is Malple-Mattu-Kaup road stretch which is absolutely a cycling route."
Another Twitter user wrote, "Definitely not cycling friendly road. I had been there many times. Cars and trucks go at speed of 100kmph. Also, there is no dedicated line for cycling."
Maravanthe beach is located and Coastal Karnataka with the Arabian Sea on one side and the Souparnika river on the other. Maravanthe is about 420 km from Bengaluru and about 105 km from Mangaluru.
